The Swiss Air Force (Luftwaffe, Forces aeriennes or Forze Aeree) is one of a handful of countries around the globe to allow non full-time pilots to fly in it?s fast jets. These airmen are part of what is called a militia, and are best compared with the USAF Air national Guard.
These pilots are people with every day jobs, ?bankers, doctors, civilian airline pilots, ?? that are called to their wartime airfield at various times each year to train their military pilot skills. Like this time during harsh winter conditions.
