In May 2004, the Italian AF hosted an airshow at their base in Pratica Di Mare, home of the Reparto Sperimentale di Volo (RSV or Experimental Test Unit). It is this unit that will have the privilege to fly the last Starfighter in the Italian Air Force. And it was during this show that the Italian public, and aviation (read Starfighter) enthusiasts from all over the world could come and say goodbye to their Starfighter, and see the last ever diamond nine formation of F-104 Starfighter.                |
