Heli-Meet Bierset

May 12th, 2007 saw the beginning of the new airshow season in Belgium, and first up was nothing less than the now bi-annual Heli Meet / Heli Day's at Bierset.
This event has been around for some years now, brings a unique spectacle with mostly military helicopters filling the static and flying displays. with the highlights of the show (sadly enough only on saturday) the Spanish Patrulla Aspa flying EC120's. other crowd pleasers where the two Hind display's, one of the Hungarian air force, and the other from the Czech air force.

In the Static you could find a special ops MH-53M from Mildenhall, on one of its last visits before the helo's are being replaced by the "Pave Hawk ". together with a French navy Super Frelon.

The only downside to the 2007 event was the bad weather on saturday, but still I can't wait until 2009 for the next edition.
