Waddington Int. Airshow

June 30, 2007

The 2007 Waddington air show promised to become the event of the year. With Indian SU-30MKI Flankers deployed to RAF Waddington for a 3 week exercise called Indradhanush, (rainbow), and the homecoming of the mighty Vulcan B2, 15 years after its last flight from Waddington to Bruntingthorpe it was to return to Waddington for it?s first display in civilian hands.
Unfortunately financial and technical problems meant that the first flight of the Vulcan was postponed. Further more their was no rainbow in the sky during the air show, and heavy rainfall on Saturday even meant that the event was cancelled on Sunday.
